Property Value Growth in San Diego by Zip 2019

In February 2019 the San Diego Union Tribune published a piece on the year over year growth in property prices by zip code. As a resident of City Heights San Diego, it was no surprise to me that the year over year growth for single family homes in City Heights outpaced many other central areas at more than an 8% price increase. The chart compares units sold for both single family residences and condos as well as change in price over February 2018.

While the increases show the rapidly increasing prices in the area, the median home price for a single family residence in City Heights is well below the county median at $414k. The affordability factor and central location has made City Heights an area of high demand for first time home buyers and investors alike.
